Review: Bolt-It-On Bike Transportation System

Review: Bolt-It-On Bike Transportation System
Wow… what can I say – an awesome system!
Installation:
Parts arrived in two “boxes”. Box one was all the parts, box two was the extender bar.

Parts consisted of:
- 4 Tiedowns
- three tire mounts (one is the extended for the middle bike)
- Two “racks” for each side of the system
- The “bar” that houses everything
- Two “tie-down” clamps to hold the system to the trailer.

It took me more time to unpack the boxes than it did to put all the parts together. Total elapsed time – less than 5 minutes.

Quality of product:
Nothing but first class. All parts have been painted black with what looks like the “under-coating” on your car. Heavy duty, scratch resistant, nice to look at. Powdercoated – first class quality.

Ease of use:
Piece of cake – push the bike up into the rack, use the adjustable tie-down clamps with your tie downs, close the trailer door, and head to the trails.

BTW: Adjusting the tie-down clamps was super smooth and easy one hand pulls up the spring loaded “nub”, slide it to where you want it, and it springs back into the pre-set locked positions.

Bounce Factor:
My bikes are almost always tight and secure and this system is no different even though several other items bounced around on the bumpy dirt road to the track, the BoltItOn system (and bike) was still still in the same position that it was when I left the house.

I have now removed the previously installed wheel chocks.

Conclusion:
It’s a bit pricey at $379 big ones but… if it’s un-surpassed quality and workmanship that you are looking for to hold priceless items like “The Torch”, then this is your ticket.

I want one now for my Van !!!
